About Me
I launched my consulting practice in 2020 with one goal: to help great organizations get better at sharing their value.
I began this journey in 2005 with a role in politics. As the Governmental Affairs Manager at the California Charter Schools Association, I spent five years helping school leaders find ways to convey the urgency and importance of their work to policymakers, and eventually shape state policy.
My passion for storytelling and messaging led me to a role in communications at Preschool California, an early childhood education advocacy organization, where I helped the leaders of over a dozen county offices of education create strategies for raising awareness and support for local early learning programs. In 2011, I shifted into philanthropy, and during nearly a decade at the Fisher Fund, I saw several of our grantees – impactful organizations led by talented leaders – struggle to create aligned, consistent, effective communication. This became a stumbling block that impacted everything from fundraising to board management to student and talent recruitment.
Today, I strive to help nonprofit teams close that gap. I’m thrilled to be able to team up with ambitious leaders to put the lessons and skills I’ve developed over the past two decades to work. I’m committed to helping organizational leaders connect the dots between their mission, work, and impact, so each of their audiences sees and understands their value.
